The East Asian Insurance Congress is a prestigious conference that brings together the 'movers and shakers' of the insurance industry in Asia to discuss key issues that face the region. Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch is proud to be associated with the 24th East Asian Insurance Congress as a Silver Sponsor. This year's congress will be held in Hong Kong from 24th to 27th November 2008. The theme is "Staying Ahead? - East Asian Insurers in the Era of Global Challenges", which promises to generate very interesting and beneficial discussions amongst the delegates. 	12th Asia Insurance Industry Awards Gala Dinner
	For the past years, Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia Pacific has been involved in the annual Asia Insurance Industry Awards Gala Dinner. This year, we will be hosting a table at the Awards Ceremony. The Gala dinner is held in conjunction with the 24th East Asia Insurance Congress (EAIC) on 23rd November 2008 in Hong Kong. The Awards Ceremony attracts a large number of the industry's top executives from across the world, who congregate together to acknowledge and salute excellence in the region.
	Helping The Less Fortunate
Youths bond over a table football game at CARE Singapore.	Allianz Reinsurance Asia Pacific is committed to good corporate citizenship, and believes in giving back to the community. During Christmas 2006, the company focused on bringing cheer to children, youths and the intellectually disabled. Donation of Football Table A football table and several 'Allianz Arena' and 'FC Bayern Munich' soccer balls were donated to CARE Singapore, an organisation that reaches out to youths who are at risk of academic failure, behavioural problems and juvenile delinquency. Cash Donation to the Association of Persons with Special Needs The savings the company reaped from sending some electronic year-end greetings were donated to the Association for Persons with Special Needs. Christmas Teddy Bear Drive The company also supported an intiative by the Canadian Association of Singapore to collect teddy bears for children wo are spending the festive season at the KK Women's & Children's Hospital.
	Jakarta Flood Relief Donations

The devastating floods in Jakarta, in February 2007, caused more than 20 deaths and displaced some 340,000 people. About 70 percent of Jakarta was submerged. The management and staff of Allianz SE Reinsurance Branch Asia Pacific donated more than US$5,000 towards flood relief efforts in Indonesia, for colleagues who had been severely affected by the floods.
